After several years of my 7th grade son struggling in school despite having a 504 plan in place, I knew we needed more help. Karyn was able to begin sessions very soon after calling, and my son immediately liked her. My original concern was Math, but Karyn quickly discovered that my son's low Math grades were somewhat originating from his difficulties with organization, note-taking, focusing in class without pre-teaching, and turning in assignments. In their sessions now, they spend part of the hour pre-teaching and reviewing Math concepts. They then spend the rest of the time looking at all subjects: organizing notes, checking for missing assignments, emailing teachers to ask for clarification, making a study plan for projects/ tests, and looking ahead for upcoming assignments and tests. This has been a game changer for us, and my son has gained so much confidence in himself and his ability to succeed in school. We highly recommend Karyn and hope to continue working with her as long as possible!

We have been using Tutoring with K (in person and online) going on four years now and honestly, we would be lost without her. Ms. Karyn explains strategies for event he most complex problems in a way that leaves me in awe after most tutoring sessions. After a hard day of math at school, the first thing my rising 6th grader will say is "Please call Ms. Karyn - I need her." As a result, we have seen failing grades turned into A's from pre-test to "real" test in the blink of an eye and that's all the proof we need. Highly recommend.

As a second grader, our son has not had a "normal" school year due to the pandemic-related shutdowns and virtual learning. Virtual learning was a nightmare and he required constant supervision and redirection during the lessons. As a result, his academic progress in the first two years of school was slower than expected.
